PEOPLE OF NOTE COMMUNITY CHOIR SUMMER CONCERT

PEOPLE OF NOTE COMMUNITY CHOIR SUMMER CONCERT
People of Note is one of the first and one of the biggest of Bristols Community Choirs formed in the year 2000 and now numbering more than 130 members.

Their annual concerts have been showcasing for years the degree of excellence that can be achieved despite being open to all without audition, and all the songs learned entirely by ear.

This years concert features the usual eclectic mix of songs including popular music from the 1930s right up to the present decade, songs from Macedonia, South Africa, and the Appalachian Mountains as well as an old English ballad and songs by contemporary writers for community choirs.

People of Notes music is sometimes rousing, sometimes beautiful, sometimes brilliant, sometimes touching, but always thoroughly entertaining.

Every year they present an entirely new repertoire of songs of astonishing variety including popular music from the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, contemporary choir compositions, and songs from around the world. Audiences are consistently amazed by the quality of performance, and uplifted by the joy and exuberance of the choir.
