John Robins

John Robins
“One of the most naturally gifted comedians I’ve seen” THE TELEGRAPH

Double Chortle Award winning comedian John Robins – one of the most exciting and distinctive voices in comedy – returns reflecting on love, loss and lamenting the fact he can’t break up with himself.

The stand-up, vibe magnet and London’s saddest DJ ™ would love to promise The Darkness of Robins won’t be an hour-long yell of a show, but he can’t. He’ll shout, snarl and sneer in his attempts to grapple with life’s fall-outs in what promises to be a pivotal moment in his being. Powerful, angst-ridden comedy at its finest, this is a must-see from one of the UK’s brightest talents.

John has firmly established himself on the comedy circuit since his debut in 2005, and with fellow comedian Elis James has enjoyed a meteoric success with The Elis James and John Robins show on Radio X, which, like Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant and Adam & Joe before them, has spawned one of the UK’s most popular podcasts. The pair recently completed an acclaimed UK tour, selling out Shepherd’s Bush Empire within minutes.

He will headline the upcoming series of Live from the BBC (BBC2) and is a regular face on TV, with recent appearances including Mock The Week (BBC2), Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled (Dave) and Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC3). He also has a host of radio credits under his belt including BBC Radio 4’s The Now Show, The News Quiz and Dilemma.

“Hugely Entertaining” THE DAILY MIRROR

“A former flatmate of a clutch of successful Bristol-based comics that included Russell Howard and Jon Richardson, John Robins could be the next of his peer group to go on to greater things.” THE INDEPENDENT

“An hour in his charming, generous and honest company is so effortlessly entertaining” CHORTLE

Tim Vine

Tim Vine
Hey people! It's Tim Vine back on tour, telling lots of silly new jokes, showing off new homemade props, singing some new daft ditties, and all with the appearance of confidence. The following subjects will be touched upon briefly: pixie football, ice cream and nibble feeders. Come along, sit down, and laugh. The quantity won't let up. This is comedy without a message. What an odd person. What a lot of nonsense. What else is he going to do? 'Sunsets are in the sky, milk's nice, and I’m an idiot.'

The Story of the Solar System

The Story of the Solar System
Few stories are more thrilling, more extraordinary, than that of our Solar System and the planets, moons, asteroids and comets that orbit the star we call the Sun. In this exciting new live show, astronomer Will Gater brings this remarkable tale to the stage.

The Story of the Solar System explores how the planets came to be and how they were transformed from wandering points of light to familiar worlds. Worlds that we’ve now examined up-close with robotic rovers and orbiting spacecraft.

Along the way you’ll hear about the men and women who pioneered the study of our planetary neighbourhood and see how modern space missions, investigating strange and awe-inspiring alien landscapes, have built on their work.

With live demos bringing to life some of the science of the Solar System and spectacular astronomical imagery throughout, this promises to be one story you won’t forget soon.

Co-creator / writer - Outnumbered; What We Did On Our Holiday; Drop The Dead Donkey. Star of Old Harry's Game; radio & TV regular on The News Quiz; I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue; Have I Got News For You; Q.I. In his 60 years on this planet, comedy writer and performer Andy Hamilton has experienced many changes. For instance, he was once a 6’4”-tall professional basketball player, until a tree fell on him. But, of course, change is an inescapable part of the human condition. Why? Is that fair? Some changes are good, some bad. Why can’t they be more clearly labelled? How did we end up working longer hours? Where did all the sparrows go? If you’re feeling flustered because of flux, Andy will teach you how to cope with the changes we have seen and the changes yet to come. Contains mild peril.

The Bluejays - Rock and Roll Revolution

The Bluejays - Rock and Roll Revolution
The Bluejays (Winners of the National Vintage Award for 'Best Band') present an electrifying and authentic tribute to the era when music changed the world forever. Between 1955 and 1959, artists such as Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, The Everly Brothers, Eddie Cochran and Little Richard not only transformed the musical landscape but also the way we continue to look at the world today.

Much more than just a concert show, The Bluejays take you on a historical journey via breathtaking renditions of the biggest hits of the era (Rock Around The Clock, That's All Right, That'll Be The Day, Tutti Frutti, Summertime Blues, Johnny B. Goode, Wake Up Little Susie, La Bamba, A Teenager In Love and many more) and reveal how the Rock 'n' Roll movement, rather than being “a communicable disease”, brought about a dream of equality and freedom that we still chase to this day.

“A wonderful band!” – Brian May, Queen

“The Bluejays had the room jiving their fluorescent socks off!” – Howard Goodall, Composer
